Camilla
Camilla Mayhew studied English literature at Liverpool University and then went to Barcelona to take her teaching certificate. She has also taught in Portugal and Italy. While here, she hopes to improve her Spanish and learn how to tango. Hopefully she will wear steel toe-capped boots, as Urien will be her partner. |
Veronica
Veronica Maria Quintieri was born in Bs As and studied at teacher training college there. She has worked for several schools in the area but her dedication to IH means that she now travels 3 hours a day in order to teach here. She is known as a taskmaster in the classroom but one of the friendliest members of staff at Belgrano.

After his degree (first class) in Russian, Neil went to the Czech Republic where he taught at the Prague school for 4 years. Although originally from Essex, he is proud not to have either a souped up Xr3i or a girlfriend called Sharon. When not in school, Neil spends his time playing cards, watching Boca Juniors and dancing (salsa and tango his specialities).

Bruce Thompson is director of the Belgrano school and holds a BA in English and American literature, an MBA and DTELFA. He was born in Hong Kong and his teaching career has seen spells in IH Santander and IH London. He has been in Bs As for well over a decade, and has taken advantage of all the sports facilities that the city offers. He is a keen golfer and cocktail maestro but is now dedicating much of his time to changing nappies as his wife recently gave birth to their second daughter.
Urien
Urien Shaw was born in Wales but has lived in England for most of his life. He has taught in Portugal and Italy, but has never used his degree in Earth Science to good effect. He is looking forward to going to Patagonia to see if he has any relatives in the Welsh community there. He is not related to Vicky.

Vic Vic Patience was born in Bath but grew up in Hong Kong, and can still remember some of the survival Cantonese she learnt there. She read Hispanic Studies at Kings, London, and has been living in Argentina for four years. Before moving to Bs As, she lived in Santa Fe, but decided that the lights of the big city suited her much more, allowing her to pursue her numerous out of school interests. |
Maria Laura
Maria Laura Valle has been an English teacher in Bs As for 15 years. As if being bilingual wasn't enough she has recently started learning Italian to complement her fluent Spanish and English.
