Literature
If you enjoy curling up with a good book and then discussing it with like-minded bookworms, then this is the course for you.
We'll be reading one book per term - the students having a say in its choice - and meeting once a week to discuss language, style, issues and themes arising from the book.
We'll also be looking at a selection of poems and short stories from a wide range of authors from different parts of the English-speaking world. You'll have the chance to talk about cultural issues, different literary styles and will learn a wealth of new vocabulary.
N.B. Finding the time to read is a must.

Business English
Ever had to give a presentation or make an international phone-call in English? These are just some of the practical skills you'll be developing in our Business English classes. We offer two courses: Business 1 (FCE level) and Business 2 (CAE level), and you'll have the option of taking the Cambridge exam at the end of the year.
Importance is given to formal and informal styles both in writing and speaking so that you'll sound natural, diplomatic and polite. Writing classes look specifically at memos reports, letters and emails, all relevant to the world of work. Topics covered in class include recruitment, e-business, advertising and sales.
N.B. Students should be at least 18 years old, and either have practical work experience or be studying for a business-related degree.
BEC Vantage and BEC Higher
The English qualifications you need for the real world.
You'll discuss topics chosen by the class in a lively and friendly atmosphere, receiving help with pronunciation and error correction.
An excellent way to stop your spoken English from getting rusty.
*There is also the option to combine this course with Literature.
Advanced Conversation
If you can talk the hind legs off a donkey and don't want the hassle of homework, come along to our conversation class.
Held once a week, this course gives you the chance to maintain your fluency, improve your accuracy, and learn new vocabulary and conversational strategies.
